Tina Struthers is a textile and visual artist who lives and works in the greater Montreal region, born in Cape Town South-Africa. Her art practice includes exhibitions, cultural mediation projects , public art instillations and costume design. Specializing in combining fiber and textile elements, she creates large scale textile abstraction in her professional art practice. Her work has been exhibited regionally, nationally and internationally. Solo exhibition include, "CODEX I", at gallery de la ville, Montreal, and "soixante17" at the Regional Museum of Vaudreuil-Soulanges. She has been selected for various international textile art biennales, most notably the" KPS International textile Biennail 2017" in Belgium and the "VII World Textile art Biennale of International contemporary Textile" in Montevideo, Uruguay where she received a mention of honour for her selected artwork.
