As well as Choreographer, Kerwin plays the role of MARCONI.
Kerwin Barrington is a local choreographer, teacher and dance artist. She earned a BFA from Concordia University with a major in Contemporary dance in 2012. She has been a student of The Axis Syllabus and a member of their International Research Network for the past 5 years. Recently, she was awarded a grant from the CALQ to further her studies in Berlin, Germany. She has a strong interest in community and in building artistic connections. For it’s 2018-2019 season, Kerwin along with her creative partner Genevieve Dupuis will be acting as the Agent of Cultural Development of dance for Valspec Theatre. As a choreographer, she aims to produce art that is creative, intelligent and rhythmic. This fall her work has been inspired by the heart –it’s biomechanical functions as well as the poetic and real potential of loving what you do.
