About Clock Master

THE COMPANY ClockMaster Productions is an independent arts company based in Hudson, QC. We are a community driven company, that hires professional artists to work alongside volunteers. Founded in 2018 by Glen Robinson, we are currently preparing for our first production, the world premiere of David Fennario’s “Fessenden Follies” at the Hudson Village Theatre from November 8-18, 2018. Our mission is to bring engaging entertainment to our audience. Our first production will be a Steampunk revue with a live band.

David Fennario

David Fennario Playwright born David Wiper in Montreal, Quebec 1947. He was raised in the working class district of Pointe-St-Charles, an area he would make the centre of most of his plays. He was one of six children; his father was a housepainter. His pen name, given to him by a girlfriend, was part of a Bob Dylan song, "Pretty Peggy-O." Fennario worked in a number of small jobs, including in a warehouse (which he depicts in his play On The Job) before he enrolled in Dawson College and was encouraged by a teacher to publish his journal - Without a Parachute (eventually adapted as a play in 1978 and directed by Gaëtan Charlebois). The journal was seen by Centaur Theatre artistic director Maurice Podbrey who brought Fennario to Centaur to see how a theatre works.…

Fessenden's Story Fessenden Follies is the story of the birth of radio presented as a steampunk revue. Most people think it was Marconi who invented radio but the man who eventually made it work was Reginald Aubrey Fessenden, born in 1866 in the Eastern Townships right here in Quebec. Even as a child Fessenden showed an interest in mathematics beyond his years and conducted experiments that astonished family and friends. His great dream was to transmit the sound of the human voice without wires. First, he perfected a new means of sending Morse Code more effectively than Marconi was doing, then on December 23,1900 at Cobb Island he successfully transmitted by wireless the human voice for the first time in history. Women’s Guild

The Co-operative Women's Guild was an auxiliary organisation of the co-operative movement in the United Kingdom which promoted women in co-operative structures and provided social and other services to its members. The guild was founded in 1883 by Alice Acland, who edited the "Women's Corner" of the Co-operative News, and Mary Lawrenson, a teacher who suggested the creation of an organization to promote instructional and recreational classes for mothers and girls. Acland began organizing a Women's League for the Spread of Co-operation which held its first formal meeting of 50 women at the 1883 Co-operative Congress in Edinburgh and established local branches.[1] It began as an organization dedicated to spreading the co-operative movement, but soon expanded beyond the retail-based focus of the movement to organizing political campaigns on women's issues including health and suffrage.[2] In…

The Auditions - Playtime The auditions for the upcoming production of Fessenden Follies by David Fennario and directed by Glen Robinson will take place the weekend of June 2,3, 2018 at the following locations Saturday June 2 at Wyman Church from 1-5pm Sunday June 3 at Community Center from 6-10pm The format for these auditions will be a little different. We are asking you to participate in a workshop that involves acting, singing, dance, and audience participation. We will be doing this in groups throughout the two sessions. We are asking the applicants to check all of the categories they would like to participate in. Please choose on of the two sessions and we will get back to you with a start time.
